Are you craving a delicious chicken fried steak? It came highly recommend and I'm glad we got to find out for ourselves. If you are visiting Eagle Pass, The Wagon Wheel is that place! We ordered the famous chicken fried steak that came with 2 sides. The sweet creamed corn paired with the savory mashed potatoes is absolutely scrumptious! The staff there are friendly and attentive, we were visited by management at the end of our meal to see if all was well. The ambience of the restaurant was nice and very clean. I would recommend this place to everyone!

We heard about this place through a cousin of my cousin Decided while we were in the area we would check it out and I'm glad we did! First in line on a Sunday at 11:00 A.M., thank you Jesus! Order at the front for BBQ or if you want to try the Chicken Fried Steak (see picture below ) order from the cashier. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We ordered Brisket, Pork Ribs, Sausage (not homemade but that's okay) and the usual sides, beans & potato salad (this IS homemade AND delicious). The beans have Chicharron in them, very cool in my opinion. My sister ordered the Smoked Turkey and that was spot on! So were the Pork Ribs absolutely spot on Ribs!! I hate to say this because my husbands' ribs are the best of course, but these were most excellent. I was not a fan of the brisket, it had more of a pot roast taste & feel, even a little tough. But everything else was a winner! They do get busy, after we left all the tables started to fill up and there was a line. Indoor dining & outdoor dining on better weather days. Cool place and easy to find. Go visit Kickapoo then, head over and get your fill of BBQ at The Wagon Wheel.

Food was great. Service was phenomenal. The restaurant is a popular spot and fills up quickly. They could definitely use a bigger spot.

Friendly staff ready to serve you as you enter. The line moves quickly. They build your plate right there as you order. The dining room was clean and the A/C was nice and cool. The food was pretty good, not heavily seasoned. Mac & cheese was the highlight for me. I'll check them out again and try some different options.

Had an awesome family dinner at The Wagon Wheel in Eagle Pass, TX, and we can't thank them enough for their wonderful hospitality and for hosting over 20 of us near closing time! The BBQ was amazing and we shared the best chicken fried steak I've had in a long time (and it was a huge 2 1/2 lbs of top sirloin)! Definitely will have to come back again soon!!!

Staff is really friendly and welcoming! Attention to detail is top notch. Something I noticed when they were making my plate..the whole team was examining the cuts of brisket to make sure it was up to par to serve. Brisket and Ribs are up there with some of the best I have had anywhere else. Creamed corn is legit. I also had the potato salad which wasn't bad. You can tell they put a lot of effort into their food and service. I definitely recommend you try. My kids had the humongous chicken fried steak. They only managed to eat half of it!

Food is excellent. Portions are huge. Chicken fried steak was enough for three people. Loaded Brisket fries were very good. Definitely worth a visit.

Tourist here, and this seems to be a locals favorite too. I got the 2 Meat Plate 2 sides. Chicharron Mac and special beans. Service was kind and understanding. As far as ambiance, I liked the police/service recognition/honor stand. Lots of patches and coins left by our service members across the states.
